This book is one of only 2500 from the true first edition/1st printing of DUNE by Frank Herbert, published in 1965 by Chilton Book Company. This hardcover book comes with its original, first edition dust jacket. The book was adapted into two very popular motion pictures, and an upcoming third film based on the Dune Messiah installment of the saga is sure to further increase interest in this most rare of Dune editions. I have proudly owned this ex-library copy for nearly 10 years, and it is the rarest of the thousands of items in my personal collection. The book has been kept in a non-smoking household.
