This is the first edition published in America. This novel is the initial introduction of the story of Peter Pan. It was the author's first adult novel. In 1906 the chapters featuring Peter Pan were published as a children's book. This book has green cloth with the title in gilt on the spine. There is also a gilt title and illustration within a border on the front cover and gilt on the edges of the tops of the pages.
