Large 14” X 9 3/4” X 3” thick Antiphonal, probably printed in Spain. Leather bound over thick wooden boards, this dates back to when Pope Pius V was Pontiff, from 1566 to 1572. The Dedication is to him. In Latin, and also mentions the church of Avila, Spain. The volume has 203 numbered printed leaves (laid paper), or 406 pages. The Dedication also states that this Antiphonal was printed to be affordable for the “private churches.” Well used.. with bees wax candle drippings to the pages. Any questions, please ask.
