Handsome bound volume of selected pages from issues of Punch, or The London Charivari, the British magazine of humor and satire. There are numerous cartoons, including more than three dozen that are full-page in size, plus a double-page cricket cartoon titled "It's All in the Game." Among the cartoon artists whose work is showcased here are Frank Reynolds, H.M. Bateman, F.H. Townsend, Leonard Raven-Hill, and Bernard Partridge. The book has stiff blue cover boards, with gilt embossed spine title. There are approximately 230 pages, from issues of Punch published between September 17, 1919 and July 14, 1920. They are arranged in chronological order, and most are from 1920, but there are gaps, and it is not clear what logic, if any, was behind this assemblage of issues from Volumes 157, 158, and 159. Condition: The cover boards and spine are in fine shape, with minor wear at the corners. The contents are bright, tight, and clean, with no marks or writing. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions. These are original, authentic pages from 1919 and 1920 issues of Punch, not reproductions or modern reprints, and they are fully guaranteed to be genuine. Individual pages, especially those with full-page cartoon artwork are popular with collectors. Lots of good artwork here, but the issues were bound without their covers. Buy with confidence! We are always happy to combine shipping on the purchase of multiple items — just make sure to pay for everything at one time, not individually. Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
